We at Anna Mae's, feel that the goals and messages of, "The Real Cost" Youth E-Cigarette Prevention Campaign," recently launched by the FDA, far outweigh any emotional attachment to our product designs. While the designs are fun, we also acknowledge that the potential influence of vaping on youth is real and is a serious matter that we must approach with a mature perspective.
We must not let pride or commerce stand in the way of doing the right thing. Therefore, after conscientious consideration, we have decided to go with a more adult-themed product and are retiring Mr. Slug and the other "cartoon-style" characters from our labels.

The elimination of the character images will reflect not only on our labels but also on all website advertising including future email newsletters, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media. We will, however, continue to offer our "swag items" such as slug tee-shirts, stickers, and other similar items for an undetermined period or until those items are out of stock.
